Testimonials
I am glad to know that M/s. Hindustan Chamber of Commerce is organizing a Textile Trade Exhibition (ASIATEX 2007) from 22nd to 25th Feb. ’07 at Mumbai. Apart from serving Textile trade and Industry, I am glad to know also that Hindustan Chamber of Commerce is carrying out its social obligations in the field of Education, Family health and other philanthropic activities.
The Indian textile industry in our country is one of the few industries, which has the potential to emerge as a true global player. In order to increase our market share substantially, we need to tap the potentially more promising and dominant market segments. We must give emphasis on product quality, cost-competitiveness and delivery punctuality with the aid of information technology and electronic commerce.
As regards the growth in fabric production it is very encouraging and the Government has experienced a growth of 7% in the last years and it is expected around 10% in the coming years. It is important note that the increase in GDP per capita in the domestic sector has led to greater disposable income with the Indian people. I believe that with a improved quality, management and competitive prices with effective delivery mechanism India can emerge as a true winner in the global market.
I congratulate the organizers of this event for putting up this Textile Exhibition, which is a step in the right direction. I hope that all the participants in this exhibition will find it to be a rewarding experience. I convey my best wishes for the success of ASIATEX 2007.

It gives me immense pleasure to congratulate the Hindustan Chambers of Commerce for organizing the Fourth Asia Tex 2007 at Mumbai as a part of celebrative events to commemorate 110th years of the inception of organization. As we are aware, the phenomenonal success of the Indian textiles and clothing sectors during the recent past has brought about a new era in the sector. If the present trend continues for some more years, India will be a super power in T & C in the world. Our past experience reminds us the contribution of the trade exhibitions, informative seminars/conferences, fashion shows towards the development of a dynamic textiles sector. Further, the objectives embarked for the Asia Tex 2007 to make India a major resources hub in South Asian region and worldover is appreciable. I hope the Asia Tex 2007, will provide enough opportunities to interface our manufacturers, exporters and other valued stakeholders to the International value chain of the world; and will add a new dimension to our endeavours.
On this occasion I congratulate the Hindustan Chambers of Commerce for taking such an excellent effort in organizing this exhibition for providing further strength to the sector. I wish all success.

It gives me great pleasure to note that Hindustan Chamber of Commerce is organizing ASIATEX – 2007 in Mumbai as a part of the celebrative events to commemorate 110th years of its service to the industry and trade. I understand that the event would consist of a textile exhibition, exclusive Fashion Show, Seminars/ Conference and release of a souvenir on the occasion. This is certainly an occasion to take cognizance of the challenges the exporters of textiles are facing in the post quota scenario and the window of opportunities we have in the global markets. The Indian textile industry, I am proud to say, has boldly faced the international competition and emerged as the preferred sourcing hub for the buyers across the globe.
I congratulate Hindustan Chamber of Commerce on this commemorative occasion and extend my best wishes to the success of the ASIATEX – 2007 and related events.
